When last I saw Gold Street it was 1950. I grew up in Albuquerque, having moved there as a child during the early days of WW II, when the population was only a small fraction of what it is today.
I've just discovered your blog, having linked here from Albuquerque Daily Photos. Your photos are lovely, and make me a bit homesick, after all these years. I'll be back to check the archives!
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments on cameras. I know that it is experience that led you to say "how you see is way more important than what you capture the scene with." Wise words, I believe.
