Red hot pokers with Russian sage in the background, spotted in Albuquerque the other day. (Many thanks to those of you who identified them.)

My best guess is that the red/orange flower is 'Red Hot Poker, Torch lily, Poker Plant (Kniphofia uvaria).' I can't see the purple flowers sharply enough to attempt an identification.
